How to Create a Notification Group
Feature Overview
Notification Groups enable administrative users to efficiently create and send targeted notifications to specific groups of residents or properties, ensuring that messages are relevant and reach the intended audience promptly.
Creating a Resident Group
Crating a group is super easy. Groups can be created either through the Users screen or through the Notifications Screen. Navigate to either the Users or notifications tab in the left hand menu and click 'Groups' in the top right of the screen.
In the pop up window, click 'Create Group' in the top right.
Once you click create group, another window will appear and you can start creating your groups!
On the left hand side you have the option to create a group name and add a description for the group. Some example groups could include: Pet Owners, Resident Committee, Building 1, Fire wardens etc.
On the right hand side you can search and select the residents that you would like to include in that group. Once you have selected the residents for that group, tick 'Set as Active' and then click create.
Repeat the process to add additional groups. Residents can be in multiple groups at the same time.
Assigning a Resident or Property to a Group
After the group has been created, you can assign a resident or property to that group.
The residents can be assigned through their User Profile and a property can be assigned from the Property tab (Settings > Properties. Only Admin users have access to this option.
The groups will be available in the 'Audience' drop down when you create a notification. Click here for more info on how to create a notification.
