How to Approve Booking Requests

Feature Overview


The booking requests feature allows the admin users to approve bookings of services or spaces prior to residents using them. This is useful for services or spaces that require residents to be trained or inducted prior to them using it, such as the community bus or the kitchen, for example.


To approve a booking request, you will need to ensure that you have selected the correct booking option or added approval required when you first created the service or space. For instructions on how to do this, click here



How to approve a booking request


There are two ways to access the booking in order to approve it.


  1. Through the 'Booking Requests' menu.
  2. Through the service or space in the 'Services and Spaces' menu.


  • Through the 'Booking Requests' menu.

The quickest way to access the booking is through the booking request menu.

Once you are on this screen you will be able to see the options at the top - Pending, Accepted, Done, Declined, Cancelled, All.


By default, you will be on the pending screen. To approve the booking from here, click on the booking you want to approve and change the status from Pending to Accepted then hit update at the bottom.



  • Through the service or space in the 'Services and Spaces' menu.

You can get to the exact same point by going through the Services & Spaces screen. Simply go to the service or space, open it up and at the top change from Info to Booking This will show you exactly the same information, but will only show booking requests for this particular service or space, rather than all of them.


Accepted Bookings

Once you have accepted the booking, it will move it to the Accepted tab in the Admin portal. This will also be reflected in the app to the resident.
