How to Create News Articles
Feature Overview
The Community News Feed feature in the App is a dynamic platform designed to keep residents informed, engaged, and connected within their village or community. It serves as a centralised hub for sharing a diverse range of content, including village and local news, resident updates, and interactive elements that encourage resident participation.
By consolidating village and local news, resident updates, and interactive content in one place, the Community News Feed fosters a sense of unity and connection within the community. This feature empowers admin users to keep residents informed and engaged while providing residents with a platform to share their thoughts, celebrate milestones, and contribute to the communal spirit. It's a powerful tool for enhancing the resident experience within your village or community.
Creating a News Article
Navigate to the Create News Article screen
Complete the Create Event form
Building Select the applicable building (defaults to current building)
Title Create an engaging article title.
Content Add your news content. See formatting tips here Content Formatting Tips.
Set as active This checkbox toggles whether the Article is published on the app or not.
Comments allowed This checkbox toggles whether comments will be allowed on the news article
Schedule Publish Date This allows you to set a news article to be published at a future date
Banner Upload a cover photo for the article
Images Upload up to 10 other images for the news article.

- Expanding the Content Input - Click and drag from the bottom right corner of the content field.

Managing Comments
An overview of how to view, manage, and moderate comments
View Comments
Navigate the the Article in the admin portal. If there are comments on the article they will be visible in the bottom right corner of the screen.
Moderate Comments
If you are required to moderate comments on the article, you can toggle each comments visibility using the 'Hide' or 'Unhide' buttons associated with each comment
Disable Comments
Navigate the the Article in the admin portal. If comments are enabled you can uncheck the Comments allowed checkbox and save your change by clicking Update
